When you need a low-maintenance and durable flooring, laminate flooring is the ideal material. With the appearance of a hardwood floor, laminate wood flooring mimics the appearance of a solid hardwood floor without using any actual wood in its composition. As a result, laminate flooring allows you to have the appearance of solid, authentic-looking wood floors at all locations around your house, regardless of heat or humidity. Our selection includes direct and high pressure laminate flooring options by such well-known brands for laminate like Armstrong, Pergo, Shaw, and Wilsonart. From oak to pine like laminate flooring, this type of material mimics real wood to the point that most can’t tell the difference on the surface.
A piece of laminate flooring is made of high density fiberboard, a moisture resistant material, with a high-resolution photographic image of wood flooring added on top. The HDF and wood flooring image are then finished with a clear, hard coating, either resin-coated cellulose or melamine, depending upon the manufacturer. Grades like direct or high pressure laminate indicate how hard the material is from being pressed together. No matter what type of material you have underneath, laminate flooring at either direct or high pressure can be installed over it and will need minimal maintenance over time.
Many manufacturers of standard hardwood flooring also carry laminate. In our selection, this includes Armstrong and Bruce laminate flooring. Bruce, in addition, has its own separate laminate collection called Park Avenue flooring, while Armstrong is the maker behind Grand Illusions laminate flooring. But some brands strictly carry laminate only, and, for this, we carry some of the most well-known brands of laminate flooring, such as Pergo, Wilsonart, Alloc, and Shaw. All of these manufacturers carry DIY laminate flooring in patterns that mimic and mirror authentic domestic and exotic wood flooring.
Although we try extremely hard to provide photographs that accurately depict our many flooring products, the colors shown may vary in color from the actual flooring. This is due to different computer monitor settings that you may be viewing our website on, image quality, transfer quality etc. Our pictures are only meant to help guide you with your color choices as you make your very important flooring decision.
