The Armstrong Family of products includes Bruce, Robbins, & Armstrong/Hartco Wood Floors. Factory Seconds from all of the above manufacturer's are referred to as the Timberland Collection. They are the same exact models, made in the same exact manufacturing facilities, but certain quantities of 1st Quality production are selected to be a part of the Timberland Collection because of slight imperfections.

A part of Armstrong's Timberland™ Collection of factory seconds, these slightly imperfect Robbins Hardwood Floors make fine hardwood flooring affordable for nearly any budget. These are the same Robbins Hardwood Flooring models/collections  that you would find in your local flooring store or home improvement center, and are made available in this section of our site in factory seconds for a fraction of what you would pay for the equivalent 1st quality material.

These Robbins factory seconds, known in the hardwood flooring industry as "Cabin Grade", are sold "As-Is" with no warranty, and will display more naturally occuring character in the hardwood itself, such as small knots, streaking, and color/grain variation.

Other imperfections are less common, and make up only a small fraction of the imperfections. These less-common imperfections include unfilled knots, slight milling imperfections, and slight finish imperfections.

It is important to realize that only a very small portion of this flooring is labeled as factory seconds due to milling and finishing imperfections, and that the most noticeable difference between 1st and 2nd quality is simply more naturally occuring character in the hardwood itself than would be found in the comparable 1st Quality product. We have recommended only a 10% waste factor for these Cabin Grade products for years, and have never had a case where a customer needed more than 10% overage to complete a job.
