Exotic wood gives your flooring a unique appearance. Whether you choose prefinished or unfinished exotic flooring, Brazilian and Australian woods offer a larger palette of colors for your floors. Many of our manufacturers carry exotic wood flooring options for your home, and this includes both solid and engineered hardwoods. Both of these types, in addition, come in prefinished and unfinished varieties. Although both solid and engineered exotic flooring can give your home a new look, engineered flooring is somewhat more flexible.
Our selection of exotic wood flooring includes various Brazilian and Australian woods. This includes such standard hardwoods as Amendoim, Australian cypress, Brazilian walnut, Ebony, Brazilian Cherry, and Brazilian Teak, Santos Mahogany, Lapacho, and Tigerwood. These woods for both unfinished and prefinished varieties come in several patinas. Need a light-colored wood for your home? Australian cypress and amendoim are light exotic woods with slight flecks of brown. On the other end, Brazilian Ebony is a dark, coffee-colored brown wood. In between are mottled shades like tigerwood and red-colored Brazilian cherry.
All of these exotic flooring woods are available in our store as solid hardwood. Solid hardwood may be more restricted in the locations for installation, but it gives you a wider palette of wood shades to choose from. If you have a wood stain in mind, purchase any of these hardwoods unfinished and install them yourself. If you’re working within space restricted by concrete or close electrical wiring, engineered exotic hardwood flooring is your best bet for an authentic looking floor, and all of these woods are available in some degree as unfinished or prefinished engineered flooring.
